Tina Chowdhury, Social Worker/Youth Advocate, gained tools to advocate for social justice issues through her undergraduate coursework in Women and Gender Studies at Hunter College. At the Columbia School of Social Work, Tina led the Asian and Pacific
Islander Caucus, in which she facilitated difficult conversations about power, privilege, oppression, and allyship with peers. Tina works towards consciousness raising in both her professional and personal life at all times, believing that the first step in staging the
revolution is empowering people with knowledge and language.
