Angel Sharma

Angel Sharma is a senior at Stuyvesant High School and hopes to increase civic engagement within teens and high school students. She encourages community discussions on prominent civic topics, and uplifts various backgrounds to share their narratives. She uses her spoken voice, poetry, and musical inclinations to promote the use of “artivism.” Angel is interested in researching and studying mental disorders, diseases, and injuries: impacts and manifestations on physical health. In the future, she aims to assist youth and elderly regain their mobility. Angel is currently working on the restoration and recreation of the “Alice on the Wall” mural on Chambers Street. She has also worked alongside Former Mayor Deblasio and Representative Yuh-Line Niou to compile data related to voter information outreach. She has participated in further research related to PCB contamination at the Gowanus Canal.
