Artistic Company auditions are open! All backgrounds and experience levels are welcome! Auditions will take place beginning September 6, 2022, and will continue on a rolling basis. They will happen in-person at 20, Jay Street, Suite 209, Brooklyn, NY, 11201.
Girl Be Heard is seeking to expand its membership for the ‘22-’23 Artistic Company. The Company is a pre-professional performance residency for young women or gender expansive Artivists between the ages of 15-21.
GBH’s Artistic Company brings together youth who have demonstrated performing and leadership ability and are ready to share their ARTIVIST voice. They possess an understanding of social justice issues of the moment and are on the trajectory to use their personal agency to serve as leaders on every stage from performance to political (and all in between.)
To audition, please prepare a poem, song, monologue, or spoken word piece related to a social justice issue that you are passionate about. We welcome original work.

Eligibility to be paid up to $1500 for select performances and rehearsals
