ARUNA CADAMBI
Corporate Social Responsibility Manager, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC)
Aruna Cadambi is a manager with PwC’s Responsible Business Leadership team. In her role, she is focused on activating the power of 55,000 partners and staff through meaningful skills-based pro bono experiences with nonprofits addressing social injustice in its many forms across the United States. Her strong belief in the importance of holding space for others and of allowing diverse voices to be heard brought her to Girl Be Heard. Since 2010, Aruna has worked with a broad spectrum of social impact agents, including the U.S. and foreign governments, multilateral institutions, nonprofits, and social enterprises. Much of that work has been focused on women and girls empowerment globally. Prior to her consulting roles, she supported policy, communications, and partnerships at the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) while working directly with the Agency’s Senior Coordinator for Gender Equality & Women’s Empowerment.
Aruna earned a Master of Science in Public Policy & Management from Carnegie Mellon’s Heinz College. She also graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a Bachelor of Arts in International Development Studies with minors in Public Policy and South Asian Studies from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). She is a lover of Carnatic music, nature, and traveling. Aruna lives in Brooklyn with her husband where they enjoy exploring NYC restaurant by restaurant.
