2021 SDG PERFORMANCE BY MEERA DASGUPTA

  • Girl Be Heard 20 Jay Street Brooklyn, NY, 11201 United States (map)

Performances from emerging and legendary artists, shot directly from the artists’ home countries and unique settings – from an empty concert hall to a snowy mountain peak- will boost the Festival experience and inspire leaders across sectors and individuals to “do things differently” and #TurnItAround for the Global Goals. Shows are curated in collaboration with artists and networks bringing the world together through music, poetry and art.

Meera DasGupta is the ‘2020 United States Youth Poet Laureate’. At only 17, she’s been featured in the NY Times, the Apollo and performed at Carnegie Hall, the Teen Vogue Summit, and more. Her spoken word poetry speaks to civic engagement and uplifting the lives of the underrepresented. As a member of Girl Be Heard, she writes and performs about social justice and solution-based activism while also channeling her own power to take charge in her community and lead. Her performance will give leaders across sectors insight into the concerns of youth today and inspire everyone to continue taking action.
