Jacquelynn Kerubo
Jacquelynn (Jakki) Kerubo is a writer and strategic communications leader with over twenty years of experience in health, beauty, publishing, and non-profit. Early in her career, she worked as a journalist in Nairobi, Kenya, covering business and health and writing features, including profiles, for weekend magazines. She continues to write freelance for publications such as the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Business Insider, Longreads, and others. She more recently worked for a health organization on the strategic communications front, developing strategies, building internal and external communication infrastructure and SOPs, establishing collaborations across multiple related healthcare institutions, and launching critical communications channels. Jacquelynn has been committed to social justice throughout her life and work. As the mother of a toddler girl, Girl Be Heard’s efforts to amplify the voices of girls and young women inspire her, and she is thrilled to play her part in helping GBH fulfill its mission.
