Laura Ennis

Laura Ennis is an avid theater-goer who has lived in NYC for 10 years. Although she moved to NY from Boston to attend graduate school, she decided to stay because of NYC's amazing theatre scene. She has participated in local improv with The Magnet Theater.

Laura received a Masters of Science in General Childhood Education from Bank Street College of Education in 2015, and for the past eleven years, she has been committed to providing high-quality educational experiences for youth. Between 2016 and 2021, Laura worked as Education Manager at St. Nicks Alliance. She managed logistics, liaised with after-school programs, and coordinated the Brooklyn Story Voyager, a mobile literacy bus that gives youth access to exciting and engaging books. Laura is excited to work with Girl Be Heard in another area of education - theatre arts programming, one of her own childhood passions. Laura is ready to facilitate workshops, lead a training, write a curriculum guide, or pop into a session as a participant!

Because she hails from Massachusetts, she is ready to have a spirited discussion on the merits of the Boston Red Sox over the Yankees any day. In addition to being pro- Boston sports teams, Laura is a lover of fiction, and an adventurous traveler.
