Leah Fessler

Head of editorial and Brand Voice, Chief
Leah Fessler is a journalist, investor, and head of editorial and brand voice at Chief, the private network for executive women. Prior to Chief, Leah served as the lead gender reporter at Quartz, where she created How We’ll Win, Quartz’s now-annual special project on the fight for gender equality at work. Leah is an angel investor in Ethel's Club, where she is also a board observer, and Haus. She previously worked in venture capital for Slow Ventures and Jane VC, and advises early-stage startups led by phenomenal female founders. Leah began her career in management at Bridgewater Associates, the world’s largest hedge fund, and has received notoriety for her writing on sexual and romantic relationships.

Beyond Quartz, Leah is published in the New York Times, Washington Post, The Atlantic, and more. She was honored as a LinkedIn Top Voice in Tech, one of Folio Magazine’s Top Women in Media, and she is a speaker at Aspen Ideas Festival, Harvard Law School, Hustle 2x, Chicago Council for Global Affairs, PBS Point Taken, and more. Leah studied literature and creative writing at Middlebury College, where she graduated summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa.
