Director of Development, Lawyers Alliance for New York

Lily is an attorney, writer, civil rights advocate, and seasoned nonprofit development professional. She is passionate about gender and racial justice and believes deeply in the transformative power of the arts and storytelling to impact culture and change hearts and minds. As a member of Lawyers Alliance's Management Team, she works with its staff, Board, and individual and institutional donors to mobilize financial resources for the organization to fulfill its mission. Prior to Lawyers Alliance, Lily was the Director of Development and Communications at Girl Be Heard, where for five years she helped to build the resources and capacity of Girl Be Heard. Lily is a pro bono attorney for the Safe Passage Project, and has also worked as an Attorney Reporter for the Hedge Fund Law Report, Legal Fellow at Earthjustice, Of Counsel at South Brooklyn Legal Services, and Associate at Dewey & LeBoeuf LLP. Lily sits on the Steering Committee of the Asian Women Giving Circle, which funds social justice arts projects led by Asian American women. She is a founding member of the Asian Boss Ladies, was an inaugural member of the Omega Institute's Juno Leadership Collective, and was a 2018 Aspen Ideas Festival Fellow. She received her JD from New York University and BAs in Philosophy and Political Science from the University of California Irvine.
