NELLA MUPIER
Nella has dedicated career to expanding opportunities for young people from historically oppressed communities in her roles as a researcher, technical assistance specialist, performing /teaching artist, educator, and school leader. Her contributions to youth development include, but are not limited to developing enrichment curricula to enhance educational outcomes for students of color, leading efforts to build strategic school and community partnerships, and creating accessible artivist programming for court involved youth. Prior to joining Girl Be Heard, Nella served as the Associate Director of Education at St. Nicks Alliance where she steered the conceptualization, implementation and evaluation of SNA's interdisciplinary literacy immersion initiative for 3,000 elementary to high school school students throughout North Brooklyn.
Nella is a proud HBCU Alumni, earned her Masters from Texas A&M University, and is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Education.
