From A Proud Mom

Dear Friends,

I am the proud mom of Jordan Sanchez, a Girl Be Heard program participant who just started her first year at Harvard University. I've seen how much my daughter has grown through Girl Be Heard, and that's why I'm asking you to donate today.

After Jordan participated in the Girl Be Heard Sunday Workshops, she performed in the 2018 Mainstage Show. She also performed for Lin-Manuel Miranda, the cast of the Black Panther movie, representatives at the United Nations, New York City Council, and so much more. In these tumultuous times, Girl Be Heard helped Jordan grow her political voice. Girl Be Heard surrounded her with an empowered group of young women, provided major platforms for her to speak, exposed her to different types of people, gave her a serious lesson in time management, fostered her creativity, and provided her with lots of great memories.

Thank you for your loyal support, which made this programming possible for my daughter and countless other young women. Please join me in continuing to support Girl Be Heard in any way you can!

We are raising critical funds to sustain Girl Be Heard's citywide programming in 2020, and are halfway toward our $30k goal.
