To a Bright New Year

Dear Girl Be Heard Family,

I was so fortunate this year to join Team GBH. The staff, Board of Directors, our funders and supporters, and most importantly our participants have extended the warmest welcome to me, and it has been a true joy to meet all the people who make the work we do possible. I want to personally thank you for your continued support and encouragement. 

As we close out this year we have so much to reflect on. Girl Be Heard has grown from strength to strength this past decade, from our origins as the Project Girl Performance Collective working with 12 young women at the EstroGenius Theatre Festival in NYC to what we are now--an organization that reaches hundreds of  participants every year and thousands more in audiences. Here at Girl Be Heard we're building leaders, change-makers, and world-shakers. We're doing this through theatre, story-telling, and performances that celebrate the voices of our participants and amplify the issues that they care about the most. We have so many big plans for 2020 and beyond.

We need your help to continue doing this essential work.
