My name is Jordan, and I'm a Girl Be Heard Program Participant. Today, I ask you to support Girl Be Heard, whose programming provided me with life-changing opportunities. In 2017, I got involved with Girl Be Heard through the Sunday Workshop Program in the Bronx. Since then, I've performed for the cast of Black Panther, the United Nations, New York City Council, and thousands of others at the DR2 Theater and March for Our Lives in Washington D.C.

Jessica Greer Morris Honored by New York City Council

Executive Director and Co-Founder of Girl Be Heard was recognized and written into New York City history for her tireless service developing, amplifying and celebrating the voices of  NYC youth via socially-conscious theatre making, locally and globally. Council Majority Leader Laurie Cumbo presented the proclamation at their stated meeting on July 23rd, 2019 at 1pm, at City Hall.
